Instructions

  • Initail 1-1-3 setup
  • Top to wing pass rotation.
  • F1 takes the first wing pass.
  • C fronts the ball side low post and denies the pass in.
  • F2 fills in the middle and protects the basket.
  • G2 is in the mid paint ball side. No middle penetration.
  • G1 covers the elbow on the ball side.
  • Wing to corner rotation:
  • C closes out the corner denying the baseline.
  • F2 helps on the blocks for a 1 count, allowing F1 to get back to front the post (X CUT).
  • F2 then gets back to help position under the basket.
  • G1 fronts the wing once the pass was made to the corner, denying the pass back to the wing, and making any pass a skip pass.
  • G2 is on the ball side elbow, denying the ball side penetration while looking at the skip passes.

  • Wing to top rotation:
  • G2 must hesitate 1 count to allow G1 to get in his position in the paint and then G2 comes out to pressure the ball.
  • F2 slides to the ball side block.
  • F1 curls in front of F, denying any pass to the mid-paint, while protecting the basket.
  • C now slides to the weak side block area.
  • Top to opposite wing rotation:
  • F2 comes out to wing.
  • G2 leaves the top and dives to the ball side elbow.
  • G1 stays behind in the paint.
  • F1 curls around to front ball side Forward.
  • C slides to help position under the basket.
  • Wing to top rotation - special situation:
  • Ball rotated from wing to top and top G drives the ball down the lane
  • G1 helps right away and comes to meet the driving player as high as possible. This is a great opportunity to dounle team the ball with G1 and G2.
  • F2 comes out a bit to the ball side to be ready to defend a wing pass bail out by the double teammed Guard.
  • C curls in front of F to deny ball entry.
  • F1 starts to come down to weak side post, but watches the possible ball reversal.
  • Cross court passes:
  • Closest man to the ball takes it!
  • If both G1 and F2 make it there at the same time, that's a great double team opportunity.
  • If G1 gets there ahead of F2, then F2 drops back to the block on the ball side.
  • G2 drops inside the mid paint to help on driving penetrations.
