Ball handling

  • Stationary ball handling routine that improves rhythm, feel, and coordination with the basketball.
  • Live ball moves to help you blow by the defense at will. You will learn how to shift (or setup) the defender with your body and feet.
  • Critical progressions to ensure that your dribble moves are effective and explosive.
  • How to stay in attack mode, dictate the tempo, and control the defense.

    This basketball camp is for 3rd-8th grade, ages/skill levels will be separated.

    Coach Profile - Corey Laster

    Currently, Coach Corey Laster is the Head Women's Basketball Coach for William Jessup University in Rocklin, CA
    Previously, Coach Corey Laster was the Head Women's Basketball Coach at Colorado Christian University in Lakewood, CO
    Laster has been a collegiate coach for the last 16 years, dating back to 2000 where he started his career at his alma mater, Taylor University (NAIA) in Indiana. Laster ran a successful program at Taylor from 00'-03' (51-31)
    From 07'-10' Corey Laster took the assistant coaching position at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA, a NCAA DI level university. Wanting to become a head coach once again, Laster claimed the UCCS Women's Basketball program from 10'-14'. Coach Laster was a part of the RMAC for four years building a strong program for the Mountain Lions. His experience in this conference, and knowing what it takes to be a successful team is valuable for Colorado Christian

    AGE CATEGORY:

    The basketball camp is for boys and girls from 3rd grade to 8th grade.

    Players will be grouped based on grade and gender to start during the individual skill work drills.

    PLAYER LIMIT:

    Each session is limited to 60 players to ensure a high number of repetitions and improvement
