Square Cone Attack Drill

Purpose of the Drill:

The purpose of this drill is to develop your ball handling moves in tight spaces as well as work on coming out of those moves and finishing at the rim.

Instructions

  • Start by attacking either one of the first cones and making a move.
  • Then attack the middle cone and making a move and the final cone also making a dribble move.
  • Push out and finish at the rim after the final cone.

Points of Emphasis:

  • Stay low and in an attacking athletic position through the cones.
  • Add double moves and the middle cone for advance players.
  • Drive off your back leg when coming out of the last cone.
  • Vary your dribbling moves in the cones
  • Vary your finishing moves at the rim.
