Short Corner Play
This is a great play which utilizes multiple screening action to move the ball from one side of the floor to the other, leading to a shot from the short corner. The action can take advantage of a lazy defense who has been forced to cut through many picks.
1 begins with the ball outside the three point line on the right side. 4 and 5 set a double screen for 2 on the left, outside the lane. 2 takes one step toward the baseline and then uses the double screen to cut and receive the pass from 1.
5 sets a pick for 4 who curls up to the ball. Instead of looking for the ball, 4 sets a screen for 2 who dribbles to the left wing.
Once 2 gets to the left wing, 5 sets a screen in the lane. 3 steps toward the baseline and then cuts on top of the screen to the short corner. 2 looks for a pass into the cutting 3 man.
