3 Zone Plays For Your Offensive Attack - Loop, Elbow, Stack

It would be just about impossible to go through an entire basketball season without facing some kind of zone defense.

And if you don't have a few good options in your zone offense playbook, your team could be in for a world of trouble.

Just like with any other offense, you'll want to...

Two Sad Stories of Youth Zone Defense - And It's BIGGEST Flaw

Today, I'm going to share two sad stories that I experienced early in my coaching career... and it has to do with zone defense at the youth level.

Note, I'm A-okay with playing zone defense at the high school level and above. I'm not anti-zone.

But for reasons I'm about to share.

It can be a bad idea at the youth level and even act as fool's gold.

You get a false sense of development because you're winning, but in reality, you're winning because of youth developmental issues... And you end up forming bad habits that hurt your players in the long-run.

I've made these mistakes and I don't want you to do the same...

That way, you can give your players the best chance to succeed now and in the future!

Feedback Rolling In... Match Up Zone, Dribble Drive + Motion Offense, Uptempo Offense

With the start of basketball season rolling in, feedback is starting to pour in for our videos and courses. Check them out below...

This is what one coach had to say about Don Kelbick's Match Up Zone Defense:

"The clarity of the teaching is outstanding. I feel very confident in implementing the match-up because Coach Kelbrick does a great job of teaching the rules and responsibilities of all aspects of this defense."

- Frank Haist from Colorado Springs, CO

And now let's talk about the Hybrid Attack Offense (Dribble Drive + Motion Offense).

Even though Coach Ryan Schultz implemented this at a large high school and won multiple state championships with it...

This coach loves how smaller schools can implement the program too.

"I felt that it was incredibly age appropriate. So many resources out there are targeted at college programs or at high schools with large enrollments.

I teach/coach at a very small school in Southern California and I can see many aspects of this working at our school that doesn't always have the biggest influx of talent.

This system is easy to teach and the concepts are simple for even newer players to grasp quickly."

- Richard Williams from San Diego, CA

And here's the last one for today's email. It's a short, yet great explanation of why so many coaches are loving Rob Brost's Get Comfortable Playing Offense At An Uncomfortable Pace

"Fast paced, informative, Coach Rob moves through the presentation like a pro!"

- Darrell Meyers from Erie, PA
