Our league has been playing with 2 bonus shots on any foul after 7 team fouls whether it is a shooting or non shooting foul. My question is how many shots are awarded if a team is in bonus and gets fouled in the act of shooting? Do they still only get two shots or would they get 3 shots (2 for the shooting foul and 1 for being in bonus?) What if they get the first two in would they then be allowed to shoot a third shot for being in bonus? Any clarification would be appreciated. |

Usually, you only receive 2 shots in a bonus situation (7 fouls by a team) and those shots are a one- and - one, make the first you shoot again, miss the first and anyone can rebound. Doesn't matter if you were in the act of shooting, you wouldn't get a third unless you were behind the 3 pt line. If you were behind the 3 pt line and fouled you will receive 3 free throws if the shot was missed/ If the shot was made, you get one free throw. Regardless of bonus or double bonus. Double bonus is after 10 fouls and gives a player two guaranteed free throws for any foul. |
