Schaun Potts Camps

Lead Instructor - Schaun Potts


Schaun Potts is an area basketball trainer who has worked with college and professional basketball players.  He has trained hundreds of basketball players ranging from elementary, middle school, high school, college and professional.  Potts has also facilitated multiple camps (including camps for Mac McClung & John Fulkerson). 

He is the owner and skills trainer of 423 R.I.S.E. (Respect, Integrity, Skill, Effort).

Coach Potts has a lot of experience, coaching 25+ years at various levels with school & AAU.  Potts coached in North Carolina at Chapel High School and in Kingsport, Tennessee at John Sevier Middle School. He has multiple players that have played collegiately.  Potts is currently leading the 2025 423 R.I.S.E. team and is also head coach for the Rocky Top Border War Middle School all-star game and 423 Hoops League for exposure. In addition to being a trainer and coach - Potts also has worked with Breakthrough Basketball, Swarm and the AAU Select Tour.

Schaun is from Michigan City, Indiana and played collegiately at Ashford University in Clinton, IA.  He later graduated with a degree in education at Ball State University.  Currently his kids are playing including his daughter, Jaden, who is point guard at King University and his son, Dace, who is a guard at defending state champion Dobyns-Bennett High School.

Coach Potts basketball experience stems from IN, IA, NC and TN.  He has a true passion to teach the game!
