Matthew Dickman Camps

Lead Instructor - Matt Dickman

Matt Dickman enters his first season at Graceland University after enjoying success at multiple collegiate levels and the NBA G-League.

"Matt brings tremendous experience to our staff, having worked at many levels, including the G-League. Our familiarity with each will be a huge asset as we head into the season. His ability to develop players and cultivate relationships will be a great value to our student-athletes, program, and campus community," said Head Coach Todd Lorensen.

In the 2019-2020 season, Dickman worked with the Miami Heat's G-League affiliate Sioux Falls Skyforce. Before the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown, the Skyforce won 9 of their last 12 games entering the season's home stretch. During his time in Sioux Falls, Dickman's major contributions were in the areas of player development, scouting, and video breakdown.

Coach Dickman has worked alongside Lorensen on two other occasions, with prior stops at Buena Vista University (2018-19) and Mount Marty University (2020-2021). In 2021, Mount Marty University experienced unprecedented success by qualifying for the GPAC tournament championship game, their first appearance in program history. En route to the championship game, Mount Marty won two GPAC tournament games and, in doing so, acquired two of the three GPAC tournament wins in program history.

Dickman has helped claim two conference championships. The most recent being in 2023 for the Saint Louis University Billikens Women's basketball team, which was also his only season coaching Women's basketball. The Billikens had a historic season as they punched their first ticket to March Madness in program history by winning the Atlantic 10 Championship and eleven of their final twelve A-10 contests.

His other championship came in 2018 for the Red Wolves of Indiana University-East. The Red Wolves entered the NAIA National Championships as the number one overall seed in the tournament and also spent many weeks as the nation's top-ranked team. The Red Wolves would advance to the Fab Four before ending their season against the eventual National Champion.

Prior to his time at IU East, Dickman was a graduate assistant for two seasons at Central Methodist University, where they spent time ranked in the top 25 for a time in both seasons. Before his time at Central Methodist, he was an assistant at Brown Mackie College for a season where they were ranked as high as 10th in the country.
