Lead Instructor - Dan Sowu

Dan Sowu, a Chicago native, is the founder/director of Elite Sports Life, a training & consulting organization that serves athletes, coaches, & sport professionals across the country. Sowu has developed & mentored numerous athletes who went on to play collegiately and professionally since 2008. Sowu played at Butler University & Bemidji State University (‘07) where he earned his B.S. in Digital Media. Sowu went on to play four seasons professionally in Latin America (LNBP) & the US (PBL, IBA, ABA). Sowu was a head varsity coach & special education teacher at Epic Academy in Chicago from 2010-2012, leading Epic to its first 20-win season, Chicago Public League, & IHSA state playoff berths. From 2012-2017, Sowu helped run the #1 camp in (Five Star) & #2 (Advantage) rated basketball camps in the country according to Sports Illustrated.

Sowu recently served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for Stephens College in Columbia, MO during the 20-21 & 21-22 seasons. Sowu helped lead the Stars to their best record and most wins in school history! Sowu was an assistant for North Central College (NCAA D3) during the 2019-2020 season, helping the Cardinals improve to a 12-15 record, the program's most wins in the previous five seasons earning their first entry into the CCIW Tournament since 2015.
