Who is Bridgeport Tusler?

Tusler begins his first season at the helm of the Polars Women's Basketball team. He was hired as Crown's Head Women's Basketball Coach in August 2022. Bridge comes from a strong variety of basketball coaching positions and experiences prior to coming to Crown. He was on Macalester men's basketball coaching staff as an assistant coach in the fall of 2021 after spending two seasons as the head boys basketball coach at Monticello High School. Bridge assisted the Macalester men's basketball program to the MIAC championship where they fell short to St. John's in the last couple of minutes. In his last year at Monticello, Tusler led Monticello to the 2021 3A state tournament as the 7th seed during the COVID 2021 year. 

Tusler graduated from Bethel University in 2018. He spent his freshman year at South Dakota State and was a member of the football team before transferring to Bethel. At Bethel, Tusler was a member of the basketball and football teams for four seasons. He was a four-year starter on the basketball team and helped the Royals win the 2016-17 MIAC championship. He also earned MIAC All-Rookie honors, was a three-time All-MIAC selection and was named to the MIAC All-Defensive team. 

Tusler graduated from Osseo High School in 2013. He was the starting point guard on the 2012 Class 4A state championship team. In football, Tusler was named the AP Player of the Year and Metro Player of the Year, and was chosen Mr. Football in 2012. He is married to Angie, who played at Maple Grove High School and Division I basketball at Northern Iowa. She is now a varsity assistant and JV head coach at Eden Prairie high school, as well as being the recruiting coordinator for the entire crossfire girls basketball program. Bridge and Angie coach Crossfire AAU in the spring and summer together.

Bridge and Angie live in Maple Grove Minnesota with their baby boy (Phenix) and their 3 dogs. (Kima, Bunk and Bodie)
